Introduction to Sharing

"As we begin the sharing portion of our meeting, we invite each of you to reflect on your experiences over the past week related to your wellness teams, personal metrics, and overall progress. This structured sharing helps us leverage data for self-insight and supports our decision-making processes, all while building our community’s capacity to manage mood disorders effectively."

Guidelines for Sharing

  1. Format:

    • We will proceed around the circle, giving each participant a chance to share.

    • Please try to keep your updates brief to ensure that everyone has time to participate.

  2. What to Share:

    • Wellness Team Update: Begin with any developments regarding your wellness team. This might include steps taken to form a team or experiences and challenges you’ve encountered with your existing team. Highlight how this support network is aiding in your management of bipolar disorder.

    • Metrics: Next, share the specific metrics you are tracking. Examples could include:

      • Number of consecutive days on medication.

      • Mood rating from 1 to 10.

      • Achievement of weekly goals (e.g., “I managed to meditate 6 out of 7 days this week.”).

      • Any other metrics you find helpful in monitoring your wellbeing.

    • Progress: Conclude with any general progress you've made in your wellbeing or treatment. Share any new strategies you’ve implemented, improvements in symptoms, or positive life experiences impacting your mental health.

  3. Rules for Sharing:

    • No Cross Talk: Listeners are expected to respect the speaker by refraining from interruptions.

    • Share from Personal Experience: Focus on sharing your own experiences without advising others. This maintains a supportive and non-judgmental atmosphere.

  4. Encouragement for Participation:

    • Everyone is encouraged to share, but if you feel uncomfortable, it's perfectly okay to pass. Your comfort in our group is a priority.

    • Sharing both successes and struggles is encouraged—it’s important to recognize and validate all aspects of our journeys.

Closing the Sharing Segment

"Thank you to each of you for your valuable contributions today. Hearing about your experiences with your wellness teams, the metrics you track, and your overall progress enriches our collective understanding and strengthens our community support. Your participation is integral to the success of our group."
