Mood Disorder Support Group

Background

I have often wished for more support and community as I’ve managed my mood disorder. Two years ago, a few family members stepped in to offer extra help, which has been immensely beneficial. Receiving this support inspired me to want to create a way for myself and others to enjoy increased support. This motivation led to the creation of this program.

The Pando Protocol is named after Pando, a grove of aspen trees in Utah connected by a single root system, forming one of the largest living organisms. Like Pando, this program is designed to foster deep, supportive connections among participants, enabling them to thrive and grow together through our support groups.

Support Group

We’ll be working together to start an online support group that meets every Wednesday from 8 - 9pm. The support group reviews new content and has a discussion each meeting. Here’s the outline for the support group content:

Here is the agenda and content for an example meeting:

  • Meeting Content: During the meeting, the group engages in mindfulness, sharing, and learning.

Here is the framework that much of the content is built around:

  • The Wellness Circle: An approach that promotes a holistic approach to enhancing well-being in a sustainable manner.

The idea is that we can create a consistent rhythm of support and encouragement.

My psychiatrist, Richard Ferre will also be joining some of the meetings as he has helped shape the content. He’s an exceptional guy - he’s Stanford educated and has an enormous heart.

Getting Started

If you’re open to trying it out, just text me back, and I’ll provide you with a video link for our first meeting on September 18th at 8:00 PM. Starting the 18th, we plan to meet each Wednesday from 8 - 9pm.

No worries if it’s not a fit. If it might be, you’re welcome to try it out for a week or two. It’s free and there’s no signup or commitment required.
